Privacy policy
What this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect
Nothing until you send the enquiry form. Then it is what you typed: the kind of enquiry, your name, your organization or school if you gave one, your email address, your message, and which language the site was in. Three more things are recorded alongside it: a hash of your IP address, the User-Agent string your browser sent, and the time. Reading the site without sending the form tells us nothing about you.
Why we collect it
The form's contents so we can reply. The IP hash so we can limit how many times one sender can submit within an hour, which is what keeps automated abuse off the form -- we store a hash computed with a fixed secret string, not the address, so your IP cannot be recovered from the database. The User-Agent helps recognise automated submissions.
How long we keep it
Until the enquiry is dealt with. Honestly: there is no automatic deletion, so in practice it stays until you ask us to remove it or we clear it out ourselves. You can ask at any time and we will.
Who else sees it
We do not sell it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. It is stored in Firestore on Google Cloud (asia-east1), and the site itself is hosted on Firebase Hosting; both services keep ordinary server access logs. Beyond that, no third party receives any of it.
Cookies and tracking
No page a visitor sees sets a cookie, and there is no Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising tracker. No font, script, or image is loaded from another domain. Your language comes from the URL, so there is no preference to remember and nothing to store. The one exception is the internal page we use to read enquiries: signing in there sets a session cookie, and it exists only in the browser of a signed-in member of staff.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. An email explaining what you want is enough; there is no form. We have no way to verify identity automatically, so please write from the address you used on the enquiry.
What this does not cover
TopRacer Console and MiniDeepCar are separate applications with their own privacy policies, and they collect different things from this site. This document covers www.metalearn.cc only.
If this changes
The date at the top of this page changes with it. If a future change would materially alter what the data is used for, we will say so plainly on this page rather than editing it quietly.
